Climate Modeling Systems

The gained knowledge of earth systems from remote sensing can be applied to climate modeling. Using a model, meteorologists can predict future climate and weather patterns, based on previous system dynamics and current global weather information. The predictions include the 5-day forcast, and special cases like the doubling of CO_2 in the atmosphere, or forcasting the effects of El Nino.

Intense Storm Information Gathering
Intense weather often has inherent danger to instruments and personnel on site, data must be acquired by remote sensing. Scientists can now look into the heard of a hurricane and measure pressure, wind speed and temperature without any risk to themselves.
